First European Halal Conference at InterMopro, InterCool and InterMeat 2010
Aim: Binding Declaration of Intent of all multipliers to achieve a uniform Halal Certificate for all of Europe
12 to 15 September 2010 will see the three international trade fairs for temperature-controlled food InterMopro (dairy products), InterCool (frozen food, ice cream, technology) and InterMeat (meat and sausage) being held in Düsseldorf. A premiere will be the first European Halal Conference organised in parallel with the food fair trio at the CongressCenter CCDSüd of the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre on 14 September.
The German-Turkish FOOD Association (DTFood e.V.) will use the food fair trio as the setting for its first European Halal Conference with the aim of bringing together the industry’s multipliers in the traditionally relevant segments of the Halal theme. These include certification bodies, manufacturers and food retailers as much as religious scientists and legal experts. With the support of Messe Düsseldorf this Conference is to serve them as a high-calibre platform for discussions and action. Here, the point is by no means only to discuss the growing relevance of the Halal market and its market potential. The objective set for the first European Halal Conference is rather to adopt a binding Declaration of Intent signed by all involved multipliers to develop and establish in the market a uniform Halal Certificate for Europe within a realistic timeframe.
